My goal as a fashion designer and artist is to inspire, raise awareness, and create connections within society through my work. By creating art and fashion that question and reflect on social issues, I aim to challenge people to embrace the complexity and diversity of human experiences. My designs are not merely aesthetic expressions but also tools to tell stories, share emotions, and foster awareness. Additionally, I strive to promote sustainability and ethics within the fashion industry. I seek to achieve this by deeply and personally exploring societal and emotional themes, incorporating elements such as inspiring awareness, fostering connection and empathy, and advancing sustainable and ethical practices in fashion. This collection is an ode to my grandfather, who serves as a source of inspiration and plays a central role in the creative process. The work explores the complex relationship between memories, identity, and the gradual fading caused by Alzheimer’s. It embraces playfulness and vulnerability, intertwined with an obsession for checkered patterns, symbolic of the structure, patterns, and fragmentation of memories. The project highlights the complexity of human experiences and emotions and serves as a tribute to my grandfather and his legacy.
