The next project was about functionality. We had to come up with products/clothing that we wanted to improve, adapt or invent. At the time of conception, I very much missed the warm weather and spontaneous picnics with friends. After school or meeting in the park, unexpectedly, enjoy the sun for a while. I noticed in myself that the spontaneity is sometimes awkward. You can get food and drink everywhere, but a rug or something to sit on is often missing. This isn't a life problem, but I thought it would be fun to come up with something on this. I started by drawing a jacket with a picnic plaid pattern, just for the feeling. I also started experimenting with the sleeves, like in the sketch, but this quickly became too much and didn't give the desired effect. There are buttons in the back of the jacket to which a large picnic rug in the same checkered print is attached. You can loosen it if necessary and unfold it, and fold it again after use.
